Clarification – Groom here. I was in charge of finding the photographer because I have a passive hobby in the realm. I sifted through dozens of photographers and their countless sample albums online before I found Nathan’s. If you’re reading this you’ve probably seen them. I was fascinated with the way Nathan manipulated lighting , how he framed and composed the photos, and how he directs your gaze with his focus. His photos are not your run of the mill, stand in a line, *snap*snap* ok we’re done with the photos. They’re truly art. We narrowed our choice to him and another vendor and it was obvious from the phone interview he was patient, understanding, and eager to capture the moments we wanted how we wanted. On the day of he was just as we expected, understanding and patient, even considering he had been with us for 13 hours (he came to take photos of the go-kart outing I took my groomsmen to first thing in the morning). During the bridal party/family photos he was exceptional; providing concise, clear direction with our poses and keeping everyone calm despite the rush and pressure we were all under. During the reception, speeches, dancing, etc. he took the best candid, true to the moment, intimate feeling photos I could imagine. From his demeanor, to the quality of his product, to his competitive pricing, to speed of returning the photos (6 weeks in the middle of the summer when he’s booked solid), we could not be more satisfied with Nathan Desch Photography or recommend him enough.
